Problem Alignment
- We want to create a way for users to more easily communicate how they’re feeling in the moment when completing a check-in. Some users may feel daunted or not want to type out their own responses in the notes box.
High Level Approach
- What we plan to do is implement a “chip” feature near the freehand writing box which will allow users to click on different characteristics on how they might be feeling. The tags that the user selects will then show up in the notes when they go to review their previous notes. Users will also be able to filter by individual tags to see when they submitted a note with that feeling.
Narrative
- Roughly 30% of users consistently use the notes feature (as of 7/23/22) so it shows that there are a group of users who particularly like the ability to write notes and that there is a group that either doesn’t know how to use the notes or doesn’t feel like utilizing them. By making it easier to complete notes, hopefully more users will utilize the feature.
Goals
- Create a “tag” system that allows users to record how they feel without having to type it.
- Allow users to filter their notes based on individual “tags”.
Non-goals
- We are not removing any current notes functionality.
